Beautiful, historic mansion with lovely courtyard plus seating inside. White tablecloths all the way. Pricy, but food, service, and atmosphere were worth it.

Directions: Street opens up on Calle Torreno, the large boulevard that follows the river. Near the San Clemente monastery and the convent of Santa Clara.

We asked our hotel concierge to recommend a restaurant that had a lot of fish dishes, since we don't eat meat or chicken. We thought we were heading for a modest little place; instead, it was a gorgeous, historic home with scrumptuous food.

We got there early to put in our names and, although we had to return when they opened at 9:15, the wait was well worth it. Another foreign couple was going for a second time. They said it was the dining highlight of their stay in Seville.

We were seated inside because we didn't have reservations, but the outside courtyard looked so lush and inviting. Next time!

Lovely service, and the staff seemed to really appreciate my attempts at Spanish. A lot of Spaniards arrived as the evening wore on. Free appetizer, compliments of the chef.

My husband and I had wonderful fish dishes (they offer many meat entrees as well), salad, one glass of wine), dessert, and two coffees for a total of 68 euro. If you want a serious change from the tapas bars and a place you'll remember, this is it!
