3bed/2bath villa near Salobrena, Andalusia - Costa del Sol

When

Nov 4 - 11, 2005, 1 Week

Location

The villa is located a couple kilometers outside Salobrena in a small villa community on a hillside overlooking the village/castle of Salobrena, the Med and the mountains all at once - amazing view! The villa and surrounding area were very nice and the property owner was very helpful. Salobrena is a great little town on the coast, not marred by a lot of the condo development you see in other areas along the coast.

Nearby Amenities

You must have a car here since the villa is a couple kilometers away from town. While the town is fairly small, it has all the amenities you need - grocery stores, great internet cafe, good restaurants.

The House/Apartment

The villa was built a couple years ago and is in wonderful shape. It is on a hillside nestled with other villas, but because of the nature of the terrain is still private. We were there in the off season and it was extremely quiet. Again, the view was amazing.

Garden

There are two private terraces, on each floor of the villa, with the lower one having a small pool. It was very relaxing to sit outside and read, looking up every once in a while at the astonishing view.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The furniture was very good and more than we needed. This is a fully furnished house.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

All the bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and in great shape.

Kitchen

The kitchen was full and very usable. Plenty of dishes, pots and pans, etc. We cooked in on numerous occasions and if we wanted to, we could have grilled!

Agency and Representatives (and price)

The agency was great, as was the price, though it was off season so the price was lowered. Still, for what we wanted to do, off season was perfect. It was a little cool on a couple days, but most of the time it was in the 70s during the day.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Highly recommended!

Things to do in this area

Granada is an easy drive, but the highlight was the hike in Las Alpujarras. You hike from small mountain town to small mountain town with terrain in between ranging from olive groves to forest. Stop where you want for Tapas and wine.
