apartments in Nerja, Andalusia - Costa del Sol When2001 ReviewCarabeo 70/72 are the top and bottom apartments of a two story converted house in the old town. Carabeo 70 is our favorite because it has access to the roof terrace with its lounge chairs and BBQ area. Even though each apartment has two small bedrooms I think it is too small for two couples although a family with a child or two could manage. One bedroom has a double bed and the other has twin beds. The bathroom has a nice shower and double sinks. The kitchens are well equipped with microwave and washer. It is open to the living room with a futon type sofa and a chair. There is a TV with cable hookup. Each apartment has a balcony overlooking the sea with table and chairs. That's the only table in the apartment and in inclement weather I assume one would have to bring it and the chairs inside. We have always had perfect weather in the months we have been in Nerja ... April, May, October and November. We love the location of these apartments, in the old town and on a cliff overlooking the sea. We are three minutes away from the town center, the Balcon de Europa. These apartments are quite popular and early booking is necessary. We have booked through Inter-Sol three times and have booked Carabeo 70 again for October, 2002. When you arrive you will find milk, bread, butter, eggs and bottled water in the fridge. There is no maid service but once a week someone will bring fresh sheets and towels. I highly recommend Inter-Sol and the beautiful town of Nerja. Nerja is east of the crowded resort towns and has maintained its small Spanish town feel. It has a wonderful position on the Mediteranean with mountains in the background. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
