apartment in Seville, Andalusia WhenSpring 2004, 3 nights LocationThis apartment was in the lovely, historic Barrio Santa Cruz. The streets are very close together, and there are many tourists so the streets could be a bit noisy. Human noise, not car noise. It wasn't super quiet, but it wasn't overly noisy, either. Nearby AmenitiesThere wasn't much shopping around - we had to walk far before we found a grocery store. There are lots of restaurants around. The House/ApartmentThere were six apartments in this building, around a central courtyard. The building was in good shape. GardenNo outside sitting, but lots of outdoor cafes and restaurants nearby. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe furniture was all well thought out and comfortable. We had two little beds and a great sofa. It was very clean. Bedrooms/BathroomsWe had a little studio, with Ricky & Lucy beds (single beds). One bathroom, containing all that was needed. KitchenThe kitchen was small, with a mini-fridge and two burners, and an electric coffee maker. All of the pots and dishes were of good quality. We only made coffee and sliced cheese. For simple meals the kitchen would suffice. Problems or BonusesIt was a great apartment and we were happy to stay there. Lots of special touches, like some sweet arab cracker bread left out for us. Agency and Representatives (and price)The agency was fantastic. Prompt emails, faxed confirmations when requested, no problems there. The onsite person was a little ox who carried our luggage up. She was very sweet and accommodating. One thing that blew us away was, we could not make our first night because of a problem with the train from Madrid (a bomb, actually.) We had already paid a deposit and paid the balance when we finally got to Sevilla. But we received an email shortly after, that the Apartamentos had refunded our first night! We thought that was incredibly gracious of them. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I would definitely stay here again - I loved it. It is like an extra-specially adorable hotel room, but with a kitchenette. Things to do in this areaThe Barrio Santa Cruz is a famous and touristy area. Within minutes you can walk to the Cathedral of Sevilla (third largest in the world), the river, or the big city park. Most of the restaurants around the apartment are rather touristy but still good, with outdoor seating in very romantic little plazas.
