apartment sleeps 4, Barcelona WhenApril 2004, 5 nights LocationThe apartment is in the center of old Barcelona, steps away from the Picasso museum. It was a very urban location, but with a park right down the street. We loved the area, and the apartment was very peaceful though you could faintly hear people partying below late at night. Nearby AmenitiesThere are coffee, groceries, wine shops, cheese shops, bakeries, butchers, everything you could ever need or want within a couple of blocks. There were tapas bars, ethnic restaurants, cool and hip outdoor cafes, need I say more? The House/ApartmentThe building was rather modern. New elevator, boring lobby. GardenNo outside area, no pool. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe furnishings in the apartment were great. We had people for dinner and it was very comfortable. There are lots of great touches in the apartment, for instance washcloths! Everything was very clean. Bedrooms/BathroomsI can't say enough about how nice this apartment is. The beds were comfortable, plenty of extra sheets and towels, a great bathtub. KitchenThe kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need to cook a full meal. There is a microwave, coffee maker, and even an electric kettle! Everything is of excellent quality. Agency and Representatives (and price)Charlie Williams from Tourism Catalonia, who we booked with, could not have been more helpful. He speaks English (obviously.) The apartment was even better than described. NOTE:Tourism Catalonia no longer represents the apartment. You can find a link to the apartment above, listed under Apartmentsapart.com - a different agency. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? We were so happy in this apartment. It is small, but so comfortable and the shadow of the owners wanting to make you happy is always there. I would recommend it more for a couple, but even using the futon is fine. Things to do in this areaIt's Barcelona. Read my trip report. SlowTrav Trip Reports This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
