A good hotel to stay in when you fly in or out of Zurich. We have stayed in it several times.

Hotel Glockenhof is a very nice, comfortable hotel, just off the main shopping street (Bahnhofstrasse). Ask for a quiet room that is not on the street. The rooms are large with a sitting area, desk, big bathroom. The rooms on the street side are bigger, but too noisy if you keep the window open. The rooms on the garden side are smaller, but quiet. We had room 327 on the garden side, better for sleeping, 2 big windows, some noise from outside restaurant (live music), but not all night long, 2 single beds together (as usual). The telephone even has a data port. I love the crisp white sheets and the down pillow and comforters on the beds (the standard in Switzerland). Great breakfast room, but you can have breakfast delivered to your room, if you want. Around $200/night.

You can book from the US by calling the 800 number for the Best Western Hotels or on the web page www.bestwestern.com
