I would not go out of the way to stay here

The Hotel Weisshorn has a somewhat nice atmosphere of aged opulence. But a few things bothered us: the wood floors and thin walls made it very noisy, and no private bathroom. Too expensive for what it is.

Restaurant is pretty good but service was too slow. Dinner was two hours for no reason. Wine list good and I found a sleeper - a supposedly 2001 South African Cabernet. When it arrived it was a 1991! It was fabulous and it was cheaper than even the local wines.

If I do the Haute route hike again I would reroute and not choose the Weisshorn.
