Lovely small hotel in Geneva, on the edge of the Old Town, in a nice residential area. Good service, nice rooms. {4 stars}

We spent two nights here at the start of our summer 2007 trip. This was the perfect place to recover from jetlag. We arrived at the hotel early, but our room was ready so we could check in immediately. The front desk staff are very nice and helpful. Our luggage was lost on our flight and they kept in touch with the airport about it.

We had a junior suite, a large room with small kitchen, a kitchen table, a couch and a separate bedroom with bathroom. The furnishings were modern and fun. The room had a beautiful wood floor and windows looking out over the narrow street (no cars). It was very quiet.

There is a breakfast room, but in our jetlagged state we had them bring it up to the room for us. It was a very good continental breakfast (croissants, brioche, great Swiss butter and jam, coffee, hot milk). We even had a wonderful Nespresso machine in the room - you put in a coffee capsule, press and button and get a great coffee.

I liked the location of the hotel. It is just outside of the Old Town in a very nice residential neighborhood. We found a good Asian restaurant for dinner just two blocks from the hotel. There were many good looking cafes nearby.

When we were there, it seemed like most of Geneva was having road work done. I think they were replacing sewers. We were lucky because they had not reached the area where the hotel was, but I read later reviews on Trip Advisor where people complained of the construction noise. This will be over by now - and it affected all of Geneva.

I liked this hotel - the non-touristy location, the friendly staff, the beautiful rooms. We will stay here again. Flying into Geneva is very convenient for getting to the Valais region or the Vaud region where we were staying. You can drive to Gstaad in 2 1/2 hours from Geneva (Bernese Oberland region).
