Good mediterranean food, perfect service

Directions: 70 meters above the CHUV (University Hospital, everybody in Lausanne knows where it is), on the same side of the road.

We discovered this restaurant recently, but is now on our favorite restaurant list! It serve what I would describe as mediterranean/fusion food.

It's rather small, well decorated, and a bit far from the most frequented streets (but the bus stops almost in front, and even by foot, it's a mere 15 min. from Saint-François). The welcome is extremely friendly and smiling, and service is good. The menu is hand written on a chalkboard, and changes often. Last time we had an appetizer of crème brûlée de foie gras (very extraordinary), another one of sardines (fresh, marinated). Then some of us had the spaghetti alle vongole (almost more vongole than spaghetti, really good!), one had the veal rib (tender and juicy) and one had some kind of shellfish with a ginger sauce. I remember an awesome strawberry carpaccio (with fresh mint) as dessert, and someone else had a coca-cola and kiwi tiramisu (sounds weird, but he said it was very good). Some desserts can be ordered in "tasting" (small) portions. There is a lovely choice of reasonably-priced wines. Approximate price (with wine) is 80 sfr.
