Review 164: Grindelwald Tourist Office, Chalet Abendrott
apartments in Grindelwald, Berner Oberland
Oct 1998, 99, 2000, 2001, 10 days
The apartment is at the far end of town. Beautiful chalet style building, view of the Eiger or the First cablecar/mountains. Clean, well equipped, friendly owners, Barb Studer. There is a fine bakery in the building, restaurants within walking distance. Balcony's with breathtaking view of the mountains. Hear the churchbells from down the street. 10 minute walk from the train. 5 minutes from grocery store and bakery, cheese shop and butcher. We feel this is our home away from home. Going back again this October. Can't wait.
5 minute walk to all.
Incredibly clean, modern, 3 floors, elevator, secure building and underground parking.
All have balcony's, no pool.
Everything from the down quilts to the dishwasher in the kitchen is well maintained.
Comfortable beds and furnishings, plenty of closet space.
From crystal to juice glasses.
