Vacation rentals in Switzerland (chalets, farms, apartments)
Review 2196: Swiss Tourist Office, Von Bergen apartment
2bed/1bath apartment in Reuti, Berner Oberland
July 2006, 3 nights
This rental was within a house in a very small village. It was walking distance to a very nice restaurant, and a public playground.
Reuti is a very small town with one small grocery store (within walking distance).
The building was a house with three apartments in it (including the owners).
There was a very nice private balcony with a sitting area, with a beautiful view of snow-covered alps.
The furniture was in good condition, and the apartment was spotless. There was a very large dining table with six chairs.
The beds were very comfortable. The second bedroom was set up for children, with a child's play table, and a set of bunk beds and wonderful child-friendly wall decorations and stuffed animals. My son loved it.
Excellent pots and pans and dishes of good quality.
Problems or Bonuses
Reuti was a village in gorgeous surroundings. This apartment was more spacious and comfortable than the other one we rented in Meiringen (separate review), however Reuti was less convenient as you had to take a cable car to the train (or a bus.)
Agency and Representatives (and price)
The Swiss Tourist Office was very helpful. We paid 100 Swiss francs per night.
Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
We would love to stay here again. Reuti was beautiful and quiet, yet had several good restaurants. Access to hiking was excellent.
