Roman theatre

On our day off we got up early to have time to pack up extra stuff to mail home. Why does it always take 30-40 minutes in Italian post offices? In all we mailed back about 12 pounds! This will make it that much lighter tommorow.

We then waited for the bus to Aosta. We wanted to see the Roman walls which were built in 25 BC, the theatre, and the Arch. I intended to go to another restaurant but mistakenly went into the Ristorante Vecchia Aosta. We both had Tagiatelle Fresche Al Fungi d Bosco Trifolati, which was very good. Peg then had some Minestrone. I also had grilled Beef with vegetables. Our wine was a Bersano Borolo 2000 in a 500 Ml bottle. A classic Borolo, very smooth tannins, truffle nose we also had two liters of mineral water. No dessert or coffee as usual. Ninety-one euro, worth it.
