Report 1094: Valencia and 'around'

Trip Description: I wanted to go somewhere new in March and Jet2.com had recently introduced cheap flights from the North of England to Valencia. I devised a stay of a few days taking in other places I wanted to see. I admit that describing them as 'around' Valencia is pushing words to their limits.

I knew precisely nothing about Valencia but I was considerably heartened by replies I received to questions I left on sundry Internet travel boards. What nobody seemed able to tell me was whether entry to the City of Arts and Sciences was worth the high price entailed, but there was no doubt in my mind that at least I should see some of those wondrous buildings from outside.

Then I have friends [different ones] who rave about Teruel and Morella. To see both and get back to Valencia with time for a decent look in the overall time I was allowing myself left little room for choice.

One piece of the information I amassed proved incorrect as will appear on a later page - but so what? When you go alone, there is little that can throw you so far that you fail to enjoy what you do.
