Page 1 of 15: Deciding to Go - Is It Safe?

I had traveled in Europe, the US, and Canada, but never to Mexico.

I came across some cheap airfares to Mexico City, and started thinking about going. It sounded so fascinating and varied, but I was concerned about safety issues, particularly as I would be traveling alone as a woman heading towards middle age.

I did some research, and my conclusion was that if I stayed away from unsafe taxis and focused on popular, well-known neighborhoods, I would likely be fine. There are no guarantees in life, of course.
