I have used the SlowTrav forums for Madrid and Barcelona and was really so happy with all the help and recommendations I received. Because of many reasons, I didn’t have time/opportunity to do such on the Italy forum before my trip to Rome, so I was left more or less on my own, with some advice from a friend as a starting point, but not much else. I spent a week in Rome (in early April 2009) and had a great time. This is the report of that trip – well, only the food and wine aspect of it.
