Unfortunately, I woke up Thursday morning with a very upset stomach. Rich went to breakfast while I stayed in bed. I dragged myself out eventually so we could check out, leave our luggage, and walk around some more.

We wandered more and ended up at Santa Croce Church. I had wanted to go to the leather school but I didn't feel any better and all I wanted to do was sit down out of the heat. We stopped at a little place and I was able to eat about 10 bites of plain pasta and drink a little water. It was then time to return to the hotel.

The lobby of the hotel was cool and quiet and we relaxed while waiting for our 3:30 Eurostar to Venezia Mestre and then on to Pordenone where our daughter would pick us up. We walked over to the train station and luckily the train arrived early and we were seated by 3:15.

It was very crowded but still comfortable, and we arrived in Mestre at 5:20 and transferred to the train for Pordenone very easily. Again, traveling with carry-on luggage makes it all much easier!

Our daughter picked us up in Pordenone an hour later and brought us home to Cordenons, where her husband had dinner ready. I ate a few bites and that's all I could handle. I went to bed hoping I would feel better the next day.
