Page 11 of 28: Lacave

Our son made friends at the pool and he was playing with kids every day after our visits until 10pm at the playground. During the night we were literally invaded by mosquitoes despite our personal spray. Our sonís face was swollen in many places. Towards the morning it became very cold, 9 degrees C only.

The next morning as we drove to Lacave, we stopped at the supermarket in Souillac to buy anti-insect spray. The wasps were really bad too, making it difficult to have a meal.

In Lacave the visit took us on a small train, and then we had to walk. The guide made an effort to speak English as well, but a family of tourists didnít understand French nor English, just some German, but one of their friends was translating to them. The problem was they kept using flash for pictures then wondered why it didnít work. Actually pictures were much nicer without a flash; you just need to be stable in the dark for nice shots. This cave didnít have drawings, just a beautiful cave. The visit was still interesting.
