Along the way, we stopped for a tour of Peles Castle. Many experts consider this the most beautiful castle in all of Europe and I can't disagree. Click on the link to the right to see various photos of the castle. We reached Brasov early in the afternoon and Hotel Aro Palace was only a few blocks from the pedestrian street. Brasov has the perfect pedestrian street. It even outdoes my prior favorite in Seville. It is not as large as many others but has a quaintness about it. Most of the folks you see are locals enjoying an their evening. Later that evening, I went on the optional Medieval dinner. It was superb! Good food and great classical music. We were entertained by a 10 piece ensemble as well as four singers and two dancers. I don't remember when I have enjoyed an evening as much as this one. If you do this tour, by all means go on this optional. |
