After three wonderfully full days (stomachs as well), we had a nice breakfast at the Terrace Cafe at Le Rich. A brandy milk punch was a great way to end our trip! Could not wait to begin my book "Liquor" about a couple who decide to open a concept restaurant in New Orleans (all of the dishes will contain ... liquor). It has been a light fun read!

While I do love the French Quarter, Royal Street, and all the little side streets, it was nice to see some other areas of the city. We didn't spend nearly enough time on Frenchman Street this trip, being the "elderly" folk that we are now, a full day was usually, well, a full day!

And while it "felt" the same to us, I know that in many places and ways it is not. I always keep that in mind and have so much respect and admiration for the resilience of the people who make New Orleans the fun, tasty, musical, literate, tolerant melting pot that it is.
