I awoke in bed, but not recalling putting myself there. The last I remembered was puking my guts out on the patio of our bungalow. My lovely husband, fairly inebriated himself, had cleaned me up and put me to bed. In my vacation state of mind Id committed my number one no-no ... dont drink fruity alcoholic beverages ... they make me sick every time. The rum punches were my undoing.

James brought me breakfast from The Seabreeze but I couldnt eat. I was nauseated and had no will to get out of bed and the weather was certainly no incentive, still overcast and wet. The day dragged on and I summoned my wracked body to get into the shower about noon. I was so weak and listless it took me forever to do something as simple as my daily bathroom routine. I would have to sit down and take a break to catch my breath. I continued to heave throughout the day that I felt surely is this all from a hangover?

Our cleaning lady came about 4, cleaned and put fresh linen on the bed. Shortly after that I began to get my appetite and we dressed and walked in the rain to the Beach Bar & Grill for something to eat. I had the fish & chips and James had the Verandah burger. I did not like my food at all and recalled all the negative postings about the food at this resort and wondered if I would have to contend with bad food the times we would eat here.

Not only was it rainy but it had gotten quite chilly as well so we hurried back to the room while the rain came down even more so. I was kicking myself for leaving my umbrella at home rather than following my first mind and bringing it. Through all of my research posters assured me that it rains for a minute than stops so I was confident that this trip would not be a rain-out. The good news is the resort has good DirecTV satellite (same provider we have at home) and Id also brought some movies from home to watch on my laptop. Good thing Id brought snacks from home including popcorn, so we settled in our bungalow for the rest of the dreary evening. Surely tomorrow would be the start of our fun vacation...
