Report 2001: My Non Vacation in Antigua

Impeccable landscaping and incredible walkways around the resort

So needless to say I’m thinking about the next vacation. I want to go back to The Verandah where I can fully enjoy all that it has to offer as well as other sights to see in Antigua that I missed this time around.

When I finally was able to eat, I enjoyed the food in the restaurants (Seabreeze & Buccaneers) but did not care for the beach grill’s food at all. It was the funniest thing, with all that frying and grilling, I never smelled the aroma of food at that place. That struck me as weird. On the other hand, the enticing aroma of the foods cooked in the restaurant areas would reach my nose even while at the Adult Pool.

The roads/walkways at The Verandah are a workout dream. Unfortunately I only got to enjoy this one day but the sharply steep hills and deeply declining valleys gave me the ultimate workout early in the morning and had James huffing and puffing and complaining and lagging behind. LOL!

Upon reading about their lovely bathroom and over-sized tub, I’d brought some candles and bath foam with me and one evening I enjoyed a relaxing soak in this incredibly deep and long tub listening to Sade on my iPod. Sheer heaven.
