> SlowTrav > Trip Reports Report 2025: Airplanes, Roses, Poppies, Caves, Bridges and ParadiseBy Anastasia from Canada, Summer 2012 Page 16 of 24: Collonges la Rouge and CombarellesCollonges la Rouge The village is beautiful. We walked from the parking lot and sat at the terrace of les Pierres Rouges restaurant. See detailed review in my blog. After our meal we walked around Collonges, and then drove to our campground in Carsac. It is under a one hour drive. In our campground we were greeted, as we were returning there for the third time. The owners are super friendly and we know the family members. There were not too many kids, but they told us their daughter and a nephew were arriving next day. So, our son could play with their nephew. In the morning we had a reservation at Combarelles cave. We had to pick up our tickets at Faunt de Gaume. There was a big line when we arrived, however I saw other people with reservations just entered the store and got tickets. We did the same, as we had an appointment at 10am at the cave. The line was to buy tickets. The visit was very interesting and we enjoyed it a lot. We then drove back to our camp ground. |
