Report 2032: Quickie NYC Trip Including the Jewels of La Liz

Trip Description: A quick trip (less than 36 hours on the ground) in order to see the jewels of Liz Taylor.

Who: me and a friend. Her husband (wisely, probably) decided to stay home. My Mom was going to come with us but my Dad recently had surgery (he's OK!) and so she stayed home.

What: Lightning quick trip to NYC. Not even 36 hours on the ground. Good thing it's so easy to get to NYC from Dulles.

When: Just walked in the door a few hours ago.

Where: Hotel: Marriott East Side, on Lexington @49th Street.

Why: The main reason was for the once in a lifetime chance to see Liz Taylor's jewels before they go on the auction block. I've heard that they are likely to end up in the in private collections (I was told very likely in the Persian Gulf, which makes sense - who else could afford them?) and will never be seen again.
