Pupusas, San Salvador Airport Super cheap airfare lead us to Peru (and South America) for the first time. We could get the cheaper fare only for a 10 day period, so we had to pack in the must-sees with plenty of down time for the kids. Our main goals were to see a bit of Lima, experience Machu Picchu, and explore the desert near Ica. TACA Airlines had great service and newer Airbus jets consisting of two flights of around four to five hours each. We changed planes in El Salvador. A great little restaurant in the airport introduced us to pupusas. |
