My son Dave, daughter-in-law Cathy, granddaughter Katelyn, 17, and grandson Erik, 15, invited me to spend the week with them in a house they had rented in the Turks and Caicos.
Our house was called Villa Ono, in Providenciales, near grocery shopping and other tourist shopping, and about a block from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world ... Grace Bay.
We had three bedrooms and two baths, a great screened porch, and a small 'dipping' pool.
The Turks and Caicos are a group of small islands south of the Bahamas and east of Cuba. They are administered by Great Britain. They drive on the left and their currency is the dollar.
