Beautiful Grace Bay Beach

Grace Bay beach is considered one of the top beaches in the world, and it was easy to agree. The water everywhere in the Turks and Caicos is a glowing turquoise or aqua ... just beautiful. Grace Bay beach is a four-mile stretch of fine white sand. We usually went there to swim late in the day. The beach was lined with low-rise, local hotels and it was never crowded. There was public beach access and you can sit anywhere you wish. When you swim, you can see to the sandy bottom and we saw four starfish there on our last day. The water is calm due to the reef located about a mile offshore.

We also took some lovely walks along this beautiful beach.

Our first full day there, we went to Taylor Bay, another gorgeous beach. The sand is so soft and fine, and the water glows aqua. You can walk out for 10 minutes before the water is over your head. It is very calm. We went back later in the week for another wonderful afternoon.

We went three days to Smith Reef, on Turtle Bay, to snorkel. There are two coral reefs there, one quite close and another about 100 yards out. The snorkeling is excellent there. The beach is rocky but you can easily find a comfortable spot.
