> SlowTrav > Trip Reports Report 472: Back to Uni to Learn Italian - A Month in PerugiaBy Pamela R from Sydney, Australia, Fall 1998 Page 11 of 31: Friday 11th SeptemberThe days had begun to take on a pattern, with classes mainly in the mornings, shopping at the markets, and lunches either at home in an attempt to catch a bit of a rest, or at Pizza Etrusca, or Milano where, for example, we could choose a plate of delicious vegetables from the huge variety on offer, for just L.6.000. This evening the whole group had been invited to Bob and Bernadette’s apartment for a get-together at 6 o’clock. The only ones missing were Angela and Peter. It was a nice gesture and everyone seemed to be still getting on well together. We moved on with Maureen and Suzanna for dinner at Dino’s to find Annie and Helen there, having already surveyed the antipasto carousel. We all agreed that it looked delicious, so that’s what we had – fennel, asparagus, eggplant, mussels, scampi, sardines, etc. – followed by (for some) a dessert of caramel panna cotta. The waiter obliged by taking photos for all of us on our individual cameras! |
