Robyn France--Goodbye Amsterdam, Hello France

Please allow me to introduce myself, I am Robyn France, fervent Francophile, studied French for many years both in the US and in France. Despite my many years of French studies, I quickly discovered that my employment options were quite limited in the French language field, and I opted for a career in business. Each year I use every bit of wit and budget wiles to plan our annual two week trip to la belle France. One of the pleasures of my recent retirement, has been to spend more time on all that is French: French friends, music, books and newspapers, cooking and teaching a few private adult students. Two of my students are a couple who had bought and restored a beautiful home in the French countryside. Imagine my excitement when they dropped by at Christmas with a gift and an announcement; the French gourmet basket is just an amuse-bouche (the little bite that delights), the real gift is a week in their country home in Picardie - all we have to do is select a date and it will be waiting for us.
