We spent one night at Bunratty Woods after an early morning arrival at Shannon Airport. The inn is a ten minute drive from the airport. (Our cab charged a flat rate of 20 euro.) The guesthouse is in the countryside overlooking fields in an attractively-landscaped setting. We were delighted to be able to check in early (at 8:30 am) since our room was vacant and clean. Our family had a triple room up under the eaves. The room was pleasant, comfortable and clean. There are 15 rooms in this guesthouse. We walked 10 minutes down the road (some traffic) to have lunch at Durty Nelly's tavern and then visited Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, both well worth a visit. The breakfast buffet the next morning was quite substantial, including delicious homemade pancakes. We were able to wait in the guest lounge after the normal check-out time.
