Glencar: Glencar House Hotel

When: April 2009

This was the second hotel on our short break in Cork & Kerry and it was a very pleasant surprise.

This is a mountain lodge style hotel in a secluded village in the mountains of County Kerry in Southern Ireland. The location is one of the most tranquil I've ever stayed at.

The building is very old and quaint and is more popular for it'views and nearby activities than its "luxury." The bedrooms are spacious but again are quite old.

The food in the restaurant was plentiful, very tasty and reasonably priced.
