Lovely, comfortable guest house at the edge of Dingle, hosts Cameron and Nuala Heaton will make you very welcome, and they serve a great breakfast.

Comfortable and clean rooms, a warm welcome, a terrific breakfast, and a good location make this guesthouse a winner. Some premium rooms have a view of Dingle bay, so try to arrange for one of those when you book.

We stayed here for two nights in May 2001, with 6 other family members. We had only booked a few days earlier, and only for 1 night, but 20 minutes after our arrival, a unanimous decision was taken to extend the stay to two nights (all we had left in Ireland, or it would have been more!). Fortunately, the Heatons were able to accommodate us, and they couldn't possibly have made us feel more welcome. They have sample menus for local restaurants available, and will make bookings for you.

The breakfast is excellent. (Heaton's was recommended to us as "the best breakfast in Ireland" by another innkeeper who himself served up a darned good breakfast.) Daughter Jackie is a great cook, and the Heatons make most (perhaps all) of their own jams, breads, and scones, and sometimes have a "special" breakfast item not on the regular menu. "Heaton's Breakfast Treat" - Irish Oatmeal topped with cream, brown sugar, and Drambuie - is on the regular menu, and is wonderful; my aunt and father both agreed that "it gives a whole new meaning to breakfast cereal!"

The guesthouse is located just at the edge of Dingle town, and is an easy walk to the harbor, and to most of the town, including a number of good restaurants. Great location for hiking, or spending a leisurely few days wandering around the penninsula, seeing all that this lovely spot has to offer. We will certainly go back anytime we can.
