A nice B&B one mile from Chester city center with full breakfast, pleasant rooms.

A word about who we are and what we were looking for: 3 adults, ages 63, 73 and 80, traveling via public transportation, needing a double or twin and a single ensuite. We did not need (or want to pay for) luxury but did want a pleasant place, clean, in a safe area for walking at night, moderately-priced and comfortable.

We found The Limes B&B by a blind internet search as the decision to stop in Chester was a last-minute one; several places we tried were full. It turned out very well indeed. It was about a 15 minute or so walk from the train station and one mile from the city center.

The breakfast was very nice, with fruit and yogurt along with the standard cereal, toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. Cookies were left each day with the coffee/tea items. The rooms were good sized and very bright and nicely furnished. The street was a busy one but noise was not a problem. Heating system worked very well.

There was parking for those with cars. Nearby were 2-3 restaurants, a pub serving food, an internet cafe and a small grocery store. There was a bus right by the B&B going directly into town, but we walked everywhere easily.

We were very happy with The Limes. Price for a double and a double as a single: £105/night.
