Knightsbridge: Leon

Reviewed by: Amy from MA, review #2818

When: 2008

Informal cafe with very good, healthy food. Many choices for vegetarians and those on special diets.

Directions: A few blocks away from the Victoria and Labert and Natural History Museums, near Harrod's. Also in several other locations in London.

Leon seems to be a small chain of healthy fast food cafes. You order and pick up food at a counter, then find seating. The menu has many choices, from fruit smoothies, soups, starters, interesting sandwiches and salads, main dishes and desserts. Great for a quick, tasty lunch or snack. We enjoyed a roasted sweet potato soup; a salad of vegetables, greens and moist grilled chicken; and moroccan meatballs served with brown rice. Huge cups of lemon-ginger tea and a dark chocolate-almond brownie were a treat on another visit.
