Excellent Persian food with lots of different kabobs and some very interesting stews and more complex dishes.

Directions: On Westbourne Grove in Bayswater, near Queensway

We had a very good meal here. The menu has many different kinds of kabobs, and more interestingly, lots of appetizers, several stews and more complex dishes not usually found in Persian restaurants. We started with a warm eggplant appetizer, which was very good with the fresh warm flatbread. We each selected from the "Stew" section of the menu. One dish was a delicious mixture of lamb and lentils, served with typically fragrant rice, and thick yogurt. Another was an even better choice, a layered dish of ground lamb, roasted vegetables, and crispy potato served with rice and salad.

Pretty decor, pleasant staff, though music on the somewhat loud side for my taste. Dinner of one starter, one bread, two mains and two glasses of wine was 31 pounds. Most dishes contain meat, so not a great place for vegetarians--although you could happily get by with several of the starters.
