Wonderful 16th century pub on the Green at Holyport Maidenhead!

This pub is a five minute walk from my MIL's house in Holyport and we have gone to this pub frequently over the years as it is a beautiful 16th century pub.

We have eaten here several times in the last two years, most recently in May of 2008. The food is wonderful. We had the roast belly of pork, the pan fried rib-eye, the leek and potato crumble, the cashew chicken stir fry and the traditional roast dinner. All were absolutely lovely. The owners and staff are very warm and friendly.

To give an example my husband and I were really looking forward to the traditional roast dinner one afternoon only to find out they had served the last one. I was so disappointed! My husband went to the owner, and told her how disappointed we were and so she looked up on the reservation list and found there was a no show reservation for two for the roast dinner! Yes! It was wonderful, their yorkies are to die for!

There is a nice patio area to the right of the pub with tables so you can eat outside if you wish with a lovely view of the green.

This is a must stop if you are in the area...
