2bed/2bath cottage in village near Chipping Campden, Cotswolds, Heart of England WhenMay 2007, one week ReviewI notice that this property has been reviewed in detail by others for its wonderful amenities. I will not repeat what has already been submitted. We found Sansome House Cottage to be a fabulous rental for the full week we were there in May 2007. The property is spacious, immaculate, comfortable and well equipped. It is suitable for two couples or for a family of four. I cannot adequately express what a fine place this is. It is in a quiet and pretty north Cotswold village. The cottage is modern. There is ample parking for a vehicle or two. We have been in several property rentals in our travels and this is one of the finest for space, comfort, decoration and amenities. We came to walk and there are numerous walks in and around Illmington and the countryside. Stratford-on-Avon is a short drive north but make sure you go early in the day to avoid the huge crowds from tours. Hidcote Manor, about three miles from Illmington, is a must if you have any appreciation of gardens and gardening. Wherever you choose to go, you will be very pleasantly surprised and pleased with your choice. The owner, Felicity, was extremely reliable responding to any email questions that we may have had ahead of time. When we arrived, there were little touches over and above the expected breakfast provisions which were included. Any queries we had regarding directions or walks were readily answered. We highly recommend Sansome House Cottage for rental and we would return to stay if/when we are over again. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
