Location

Ideally located in the small and very peaceful village of Bourton-on-the-Hill in the heart of the Cotswolds, this cozy semi-detached cottage is a treat, whether you want to enjoy total relaxation or take advantage of the many walk paths and sightseeing activities the region has to offer. The location and landscape are simply breathtaking!

Nearby Amenities

Slatters Cottage is located only a short four minutes drive (or a 40 minutes walk) from Moreton-in-Marsh where you will find supermarkets, as well as a number of tearooms, pubs, restaurants and specialties stores. The is also a good bus service to all main towns and villages within the region. Timetables and useful tips about local attractions can be obtained at the Information Center in Moreton.

The House/Apartment

This 17th century old stone cottage is in excellent condition and has just recently undergone some home improvements while retaining its original features which confers it its very unique charm.

Garden

There is a lovely front garden and a stone bench from where we can enjoy the view of the surroundings and take in the invigorating country air.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The furniture in all rooms is very comfortable and the decor is lovely.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The bedrooms have very comfortable beds and the bathroom (with bath and shower-over-bath), completely renovated, is nice and clean. Good quality bedding and towels are provided.

Kitchen

The kitchen although compact is fully equipped, very clean, and well fitted for cooking full meals.

Problems or Bonuses

You are welcomed with a nice basket of goodies which adds a lovely personal touch!

Agency and Representatives (and price)

The owners are very pleasant, communication easy and efficient, and the descriptions and photos used on the cottage's website are perfectly accurate.

Slatters Cottage offers a lovely and comfortable getaway from the frantic pace of the city and modern times. I strongly recommend it!

Things to do in this area

The Cottage is located nearby the Horse and Groom, an award winning pub. The food and atmosphere are excellent. Definitely worth the try!
