Midpriced downtown hotel, convenient to Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho. Busy location. Small but comfortable and quiet rooms. Close to subway, restaurants.

We tried this hotel after getting a great deal on a discount hotel site. It's in Chinatown, near Little Italy and Soho. The immediate area is very busy, but it's an easy walk into quieter areas of Soho, TriBeCa, or the emerging LES. The subway is a four-five minute walk, and there are plenty of Chinese restaurants in the surrounding blocks. You enter to a small lobby, and take the elevator upstairs to the reception desk.

Check-in was pleasant and fast. The room we had was small (as expected), but very comfortable and clean, with simple furnishings. Great bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Surprisingly quiet at night.
