Not a fan of airport hotels, but they serve a purpose, and contrary to my fears, this one was okay.
We stayed here for one night because I was accompanying my husband on business, and he needed to be with his work-mates, so I can't speak to its location for touring or anything.
I can tell you, though, they do run a free shuttle between the airport and the hotel for which I waited about 10 minutes from the time I got outside under the "red" sign.
The room was clean, the bed comfortable (honestly, I love a Hilton bed), the shower had great water pressure and got hot and most importantly for me, the room was quiet. I feared it would be noisy for two reasons, close to the airport (planes taking off and landing) and because it was super-crowded (at least it seemed that way in the lobby). But no worries on either part, and as I'm sitting here into the morning hours working on the free WiFi (not sure if it's provided because my husband has status or because he's just a member of Hilton Honors but it's a nice perk and works well), I'm still surprised at how quiet are room is (5078).
Oh, and when I popped into the bar after I checked in, it too was hopping, but it was still easy to get a seat either there or at one of the nearby tables. Not a great beer tap list, but what can you do?
So yeah, if I needed an airport hotel in LA, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this one.
