Great location, historic hotel beautifully refurbished, but with one reservation.

Located on the first block off of State St, this hotel will situate you in the heart of the shopping / restaurant / strolling district of Santa Barbara.

This is a historic hotel with many Spanish mission details (think ceramic and baked tile work) that has been completely refurbished into a very comfortable and appealing place to stay. Mattresses, pillows, and linens are extremely comfortable, fully equipped bathroom, good water pressure, roomy accommodations.

Free wifi, continental breakfast, on site parking at $9/day extra cost. Friendly and courteous staff.

We stayed here 4 nights, and I would give this place the highest ratings, but our last night, a Thursday, we were awakened at midnight by a very loud very bad punk band (think Lincoln Park off-key) who must have been playing at a nearby bar. So I'm really not sure just what the weekend situation might be. I would recommend thus hotel, but with that disclaimer.
