Centrally located midtown, very basic, good price.

We chose this hotel for several reasons. My SIL and I happened to be in NYC during Fashion Week and couldn't find a reasonably priced hotel anywhere.

The location is very central to everything. The hotel received plus and minus ratings on tripadvisor.com. The price was great, $149/nt for a "studio" apt which consisted of 2 double beds, full bath (but no shelf space for toiletries), and an efficiency kitchen - which included fridge, stove, coffee pot and complimentary coffee, microwave, dishes and silverware for 4 people.

This hotel appears to have been residential apts. in the past, so there are studio and 1 or 2 bedroom apts. available.

It is located on 49th St. between 6th and 7th, 2 blocks away from Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, and several blocks from Times Square and Central Park. The N,R and W line are on the corner of 7th and 49th, which can get one around the city, as well as to JFK airport.

There are several restaurants downstairs from the hotel that are good for pizza, pasta, deli and baked goods.

The front desk staff consists of 2 people sitting at the front desk. There are stairs in the front of the building and one needs to ask one of the people at the desk to help with luggage.

One of the complaints we found on tripadvisor was that the elevators are slow. Well, the elevators are sloooow. Several times, we walked down the 9 flights to the lobby.

Although we asked for non smoking rooms, we found that our neighbor in the room across the hall was a smoker, and that smoke filtered into the hallway. We asked to be moved, but they did not have any more studios available. Thankfully, our neighbor checked out the next day.

Maid service is provided everyday, but you must wash your own dishes.

The air conditioner was noisy and not working when we were there. We put in a request for maintenance and the problem was taken care of immediately.

The room was very clean, although very plain.

I am neutral on this suite hotel. If location is what you are looking for and that location is Times Square, then this is a great place to stay. It seems to be a great budget place if you are traveling with a family.
