Convenient hotel just outside the South Rim entrance to the Grand Canyon.

The Red Feather Lodge is in the strip of hotels and restaurants just outside the entrance to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.

It's a convenient location if you can't get a room at one of the hotels in the park itself. The hotel has two sections--a new hotel and an older motel-style wing. Our stay in the new wing was very comfortable. Nothing fancy, rather bland, but fine for the overpriced Grand Canyon area.

I'd strongly recommend this newer building after peeping into one of the rooms in the older building, which wasn't nearly as nice. The included breakfast is dreadful coffee, mini yogurts, and doughnuts.
