The location right across from the Museum of Modern Art is great, although not overly close to subway transportation and thus a bit more expensive to cab to Midtown, etc. The cross-town bus, though, is only two blocks away and you can then use the West side's subway very easily. Room was not a bad size and very quiet, as it faced the courtyard rather than 5th Avenue. Only negative was you could hear other guests' doors open and closing very loudly at all hours. Lobby was very small, but there is a very warm and cozy bar and also what looked to be a nice restaurant. Concierge and staff were very friendly and doormen usually got a cab within 2 minutes. A deal from Priceline at $160 a night (marathon weekend). Not worth the website quote of $300-ish. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
