Great small hotel in the heart of the Theater District

I stayed here during a business trip. The hotel is in a great location: 1/2 a block from Times Square, 1 1/2 blocks from Fifth Avenue, and theaters, theaters, theaters.

While the front desk appears intimidating, the staff is very nice, especially the bellmen. I sort of felt like I was in Europe when the bellman showed me to my room and gave me a brief overview of it and the hotel. I was in a room on the 8th floor. It was incredibly quiet and the beds were decadently comfortable.

We also hosted a meeting here for about 20 guests. The catering manager was exceptional! She would not rest until she answered all our questions and resolved any problems to our satisfaction. I would definitely stay here if not on a restricted budget -- as each room was $300/night.
