This is a wonderful small inn nestled among the vineyards outside Santa Rosa in the Sonoma County wine country.

This is a wonderful location for visiting Sonoma wineries. It is just off 101 just north of Santa Rosa, but tucked back in the vineyards where it's peaceful and quiet. It's small, with only about 40 rooms, and very much oriented around the vineyards and the beautiful grounds. Our room had a fireplace, big comfortable reading chairs, down pillows and comforters, a bathroom with a jacuzzi and lots of big fluffy towels. It was probably the most comfortable and restful room we've ever stayed in.

Next door is the John Ash & Co restaurant, which specializes in locally grown fresh food, not just produce, but artisan cheese and breads and fresh seafood as well. It's a beautiful restaurant, with views out over the vineyards, and on the patio at sunset on a summer evening, it was just about perfect.
