A historic art deco hotel where the famous people stay!

We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria on Nov. 14 - 16, 2003. It is a Hilton property and we were able to get a special rate for a deluxe double room on the 9th floor.

The hotel staff are impeccably trained as they made sure our stay was perfect. Everytime we came in, went out or needed service the staff greeted us and wished us a good day.

The lobby and public areas are rich and elegantly decorated. You notice the old and art deco features throughout the hotel. Everywhere we went in the hotel it appeared to be well kept and clean.

The room had 2 double beds with beautiful bedding and curtains to match. The carpeting was a rich floral pattern, the tv/mini bar cabinet, and desk with fax machine and telephone were all of top quality.

The bathroom was done in marble and there were plenty of large fluffy towels, 2 bathrobes and facecloths. Amenities were waiting for us to use...soap, shampoo etc. There was also an iron, ironing board and hairdryer.

There are a few restaurants in the hotel of which we tried one...Oscars.

President's own suites on the upper floors of the Waldorf Astoria. We're glad we had the opportunity to stay there.
