When:

Excellent Large Conference Hotel in a Quiet & Safe Residential Suburb, next to Red Line Metro Station & near National Zoo.

This is one of the largest conference hotels in the DC area. It is situated on a large landscaped block of land. The Red Line Metro station (Woodley Park-Zoo / Adams Morgan) entrance is at the bottom of the driveway. You will find plenty of eating places on nearby Connecticut Avenue.

It has 1350+ rooms & 120+ suites over 10 floors across three buildings. It has a huge amount of exhibition and conference space. It has a number of large ballrooms and banquet rooms. It contains a bar, coffee shop, convenience & gift shops, lounge, restaurant(s) and a Starbucks. It has two swimming pools and a health club.

My 8th floor room was large, clean and modern. It contained a desk & data port plus a comfortable lounge chair and two double beds. It contained a coffee machine etc. Some rooms have fridges. I have stayed once and will stay again in this hotel.

It is an easy 10-15minute walk to the National Zoo entrance. It is a nice walk down Connecticut Avenue to Dupont Circle and onto the White House etc.

Compare the Mariott rates with the rates on offer by the numerous internet accomodation wholesalers. The rates will vary with the week of the year and the timing of major events and or conventions.
