We enjoyed a lovely lunch outside at this hip and upscale restaurant.

Directions: At the very west end of the Sunset Strip on the south side, near Doheny.

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon out on the patio, some in the shade and some in the sun. The restaurant is on the ground floor of a large office building at the very west end of the Sunset Strip. The restaurant is large and very open. Everyone was friendly and I might go so far as to say the best thing about our lunch was our server. Jennifer was a doll and we were not the easiest table to serve.

There were four of us - none ordered a starter - and we went right to the main menu for lunch. There was one person who wanted HOT coffee throughout the meal and it was delivered with a smile and great kindness, two iced teas and a lemonade.

I had the turkey Burger ($13) with a side of sweet potato fries. It was fine, but I think I would try something else next time. Rob had the 12 hour smoked Kobe brisket sandwich which was on a sweet brioche roll ($15) with a side of their sweet potato fries. This was delicious and would be repeated.

The other two shared the chicken breast sandwich ($13), and there was plenty for both. They too had the sweet potato fries and the portion was generous, on both of their plates.

There was one dessert ordered and it was a scoop of peach sorbet, apricots and vanilla ice cream with some sort of sauce. I did not try it, but there was nothing left after the two women were done.

I really liked BOA and hope to return, maybe for dinner next time.
