When: 2010

A small enoteca serving excellent Italian food. Casual setting, no reservations, fair prices.

Directions: In the South End

We've eaten both lunch and dinner here. Coppa is in a gentrified stretch of the South End, about a 10 minute walk from the Copley or Huntington areas. There is limited non-resident parking.

It's a small place with some outdoor tables which are delightful on a warm day. The menu has a lot of variety -small "bites" to have with drinks or wine, larger antipasti to share, pizza and pastas. The menu changes daily, and everything we've had has been wonderful. I especially love the arancini, the tuna crudo antipasti; clam pizza with caramelized onion and bacon; and the pastas.

No reservations, so your best bet is for midweek dinner or lunch. At lunchtime they don't serve pastas, but instead also offer delicious panini.
