Great 'view bar' overlooking the city and the bay.

Directions: Inside the Grand Hyatt Hotel

The Grandviews Lounge is on an high floor (21st?) of the Grand Hyatt Hotel on Union Square. Comfortable seating in a 'clubby' atmosphere, with fabulous views over the city looking towards Alcatraz and Angel Islands.

Well made drinks, a decent wine-by-the-glass list, and not *too* expensive. You're paying for the beautiful view, but the food and service are good, too.

Recommended as a great spot to start an evening, or have that nightcap ...
